We treat children fairly and equitably as unique individuals, valuing each child and family’s diverse culture, values and experiences by providing rich experiences to suit their individuality. We encourage children to respect each other and to delight in all their differences.
We promote the development of self-esteem, identity and wellbeing by respecting, accepting and comforting children, encouraging all children’s right to choice in their play, as well as celebrating their successes.
We believe in the importance of holistic growth and development for each child and we promote use of good hygiene practises and in providing children with a wide variety of nutritional experiences in their daily meals.
Learning and Environment
We believe the child’s early play environment is important for lifelong learning and we provide a caring, safe, secure and fun environment that will stimulate and engage children to allow them to unleash their creativity, explore, experiment and discover, and to provide opportunities for them to delight in the natural environment.
We believe in the importance of learning through play by providing an abundance of both programmed and spontaneous indoor & outdoor activities that are shaped around Belonging, Being and Becoming-The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to foster each individual child’s growth across all developmental domains.
We acknowledge the original custodians of this land. We believe in a positive and proactive approach to our environment by promoting respect for the inter dependency between people and the environment and encourage awareness of every person’s role in caring for the land, nature and animals both day to day and for long term sustainability.
Family and Community Partnerships
We value our partnerships with families. We welcome and provide opportunities for families to contribute to our centre and to allow free information flow between centre management, staff and families.
We recognise the importance of building and maintaining trusting and positive relationships with the community and industry professionals to meet the individual and collective needs of all children.
We believe in rich relationships within our organisation and we work together as team members to encourage, support and communicate with each other to provide a nurturing and responsive environment which will allow the children to develop their potential. As educators we undertake to be positive role models for children across all areas and throughout each day.
